C Chess or Croun Guan is another project that gave us the international experience. Straight from Shanghai, our visual team have partnered with a a Chinese graphic design team to create these unique visuals for the chess championship tournament.

Our main focus was to create visuals that both stand out and transmit the chess club's values in graphic form.

The Request

We've received a request to co-design a branding identity for a multinational chess club in Shanghai. As it was exciting and our own team is a fan of chess game we accepted the request to be hired as a co-designing team.

Concept

Before they approach us they have already designed a concept that was alot simpler using traditional chess shape and forms that did not really resonate with today's modern world.

Our Approach

We sketched and created our own identity and tried to re-innovate their design by giving their visuals a modern and futuristic look.
